On January 2 sixty eight students from Nipmuc attended the DECA District competition where they competed against 8 other schools within the district.  Students competed individually or with a teammate in the business oriented competition. Each student/team took a test and role played with judges to demonstrate their presentation and problem solving skills; topics ranged from Buying and Merchandising to Business Law and Ethics.

Nipmuc DECA Coach and business teacher Ryan Cody was proud to announce thirty-six students from Nipmuc qualified to compete at DECA States where they will go up against the best competitors from all districts across the state; seven individual/teams finished within the top three in their category.

DECA States will be held in March at the Marriott Copley in Boston. Those who place within the Top 4 in their category at States will qualify to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference.

Students who placed within the top 3 at DECA Districts where awarded trophies, those who placed within the top seven move forward to States. Below is a list of all trophy winners and students/teams which are advancing to States. Congratulations!
