Nipmuc Juniors Shane Dougherty and Petey Schiloski have teamed up to raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer as part of their DECA project through the Chill-Out Cancer Challenge. They are asking the community to help them raise awareness by participating in the challenge.
“The challenge is you have to get in shorts and t-shirt and jump in the snow,” said Shane. All who wish to participate should video tape the event and post it on Facebook or Instagram with #ovariancancerawareness and #chilloutcancerchallenge and then challenge/nominate friends to partake in the challenge.
“It’s a great way to get people talking and breaking the silence of ovarian cancer,” said Shane.
