Many Mendon and Upton registered voters are still looking for information and have questions about the Mendon Upton Regional School District FY16 Budget.
The actual formal time for discussion and questions on the MURSD budget was on March 16 during the Open Budget Hearing. However the MURSD and Towns want all voters to be well-informed prior to the vote and have set aside time for any additional questions.
During the upcoming April 6 and April 27 School Committee meetings, any parent or community member will have the opportunity to ask the School Committee or the Superintendent any questions they have about the proposed FY2016 Budget. The meeting on 4/6 will be in the Superintendent’s Conference Room at Miscoe and the meeting on 4/27 will be at the PDC at Nipmuc; both meetings begin at 7 p.m.
The Mendon Board of Selectmen will also be having a standing segment at all of their meetings through May where any citizen can ask any question about the town or school budgets. This will start on Monday, 3/30 at the Mendon Town Hall – 7 p.m.
“The Mendon Board of Selectmen have asked [MURSD business manager] Jay Byer to be present to answer any question regarding any line item of the school budget or any school finance question and he has agreed to do it,” said District Superintendent Dr. Joseph Maruszczak.
Upton Board of Selectmen will meet on April 7 at the Town Hall – Little Town Hall meeting room.
