On April 4 Andrew Page (13, on left) and Shamus Birdsey (13 on right) earned their 1st degree (adult) black belts in Kenpo. They have been studying Nick Cerios Kenpo under Sensei Bill Rowe for the past 5 years at Family Karate in Bellingham (http://familykarate.biz/). They are the first students of Sensei Bill Rowe, along with his son tommy, that have achieved the rank of black belt. The test was a five hours long and required that they spar with multiple people at the same time.
