BRWA Annual Meeting & Member Appreciation Event

 

blackstone watershetHave you ever wondered what the greenhouse along the Blackstone River at Fisherville in Grafton is for?  Or what the floating islands in the canal are for?  Now is your chance to find out!  You are invited to the Blackstone River Watershed Association (BRWA)’s Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Event on Sunday, November 8th, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the South Grafton Community House, just up the road from the innovative greenhouse.

After a review of the BRWA’s accomplishments during 2015, and a brief election for next year’s officers, Gene Bernat will give a presentation and tour of the Living Systems Lab, Fisherville Mill Site.  Gene is the Vice President of Cover Technologies, Inc, which has the mission of “conceiving, developing and implementing biological and technological methods and strategies to create economic value from organic and inorganic waste resources and environmentally impaired properties.”  He is also one of the partners in the Fisherville Mill Redevelopment Co.  You won’t want to miss this excitig presentation!

Directions: The South Grafton Community House is located at  27 Main Street, South Grafton.  From the Junction of Rt 122 and 122A in South Grafton by Cumberland Farms, head north on 122A two-tenths of a mile to the Community House on your left.
