Kelsey Campbell of Upton is a member of the Colby-Sawyer Women’s Soccer team that earned a third straight North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship on Saturday, Nov. 7. Campbell majors in Studio Arts and is a member of the class of 2017.
The first half was a battle of field position as each side tried to possess the ball. There were just five total shots taken in the first 45 minutes with most of the action coming in the middle third of the pitch. The offense turned up in the second half with a total of 18 shots taken. Each side had a couple of nice scoring opportunities but the goalies were up to the task until Colby-Sawyer broke through late in the game.
The Chargers (13-3-2) will make a trip to the NCAA tournament for the third time in school history.
