During the January 19, 2016 selectmen meeting, member Ken Picard stated, “The desire of the board and the finance committee is to try to maintain, to the best extent possible, a level service and level funded budget. That is our expectation this year. We understand the taxpayers stepped forward with the override for the schools and we acknowledge that is quite a bit of money on taxes for them. We are trying to do our best to minimize any future hardship.”
The Town’s department heads have been notified of the board’s desires.
