The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from late tonight through Friday afternoon. Here is your local forecast from Meteorologist Jeb Postle.
Tonight: Partly cloudy during the evening, then increasing clouds with a chance of rain and snow showers between 12- 3 AM. Periods of snow afterward. Snowfall amount of around 1 inch possible. 60 % chance of precip. Low temperature around 29F. Light winds from the northwest.
Friday, February 5th: Mostly cloudy with periods of snow, mainly before 11 AM. Breaks of sun PM. Snowfall amounts of 1-2 inches possible. 60 % chance of snow. High temperature around 37F. Winds from the northwest at 10-20 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy during the evening, then mostly clear overnight. Low temperature around. 23F. Winds from the west-northwest at 5-10 mph.
Note: With a storm system brushing the coast of New England and just enough cold air pushing into the area, this makes for a tough forecast snow wise. A lot can still change due to the track of the storm and how much cold air moves into the area.
