Using Meeting Rooms and The Main Hall At Upton Town Hall

Do you know you can book the meeting rooms and the main hall at Upton Town Hall?

Are you aware the fee schedule and policies implemented after the Town Hall renovation project was completed were modified six months later?

After the Town Hall renovation was completed in 2014 the Board of Selectman instituted a new fee schedule along with new policies for using the Main Hall and Meeting Rooms in order to protect the Town’s investment. Residents pushed back on the new usage fees saying the new fees made it too expensive to use the facility. The Board of Selectmen listened and made adjustments to those fees six months later.

Rumblings on how expensive it is to use the Town Hall continue in the community despite the adjusted rates. It is unknown if residents are displeased with the adjusted fee schedule or  if residents are not aware the fees were adjusted and are complaining about the old fee schedule.

Many organizations and groups are enjoying the space and understand why the new policies were put in place. Rumba Instructor Carrie Kuter is thrilled to use the Main Hall. “I teach Zumba at the Upton Town Hall on Saturday’s at 8:30 a.m. It’s a beautiful and lovely space to be in,” said Kuter.

The Main Hall

Upton Town Government Organizations No Charge

Non-Profit Organizations Town of Upton No Charge $250.00 security deposit. Out-of –Town No Charge $250.00 security deposit

For Profit or Private Events Town of Upton Base fee of $100/hour not to exceed $250/day $250.00 security deposit 4-hour limit Athletic Leagues $250.00 security deposit Town of Upton 4 hour limit Out-of –Town Base fee of $100/ hour not to exceed $250/day $250.00 security deposit

Athletic Leagues $250.00 security deposit Town of Upton 4 hour limit. Out-of –Town Base fee of $100/ hour not to exceed $250/day $250.00 security deposit 4-hour limit.

Depending on the event additional charges may be applied. Some events may require  custodial fees from $32 to $42 an hour, liability release form signed or liability insurance, and/or a $50 trash removal charge.

Upton Town Government Organizations No Charge

Non-Profit Organizations No Charge

For Profit Base fee of $20 per hour 4-hour limit.
