Family Literacy Night Tonight at Nipmuc High School

The school librarians of the Mendon-Upton school district have put together a wonderful program of FREE literacy events for Thursday, March 31st  from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Nipmuc High School.

This program is meant for students in grades K-6. Students in grades 7-12th are needed as volunteers to help with the evening’s events.

There will be lots of crafts, reading, raffles and activities for you and your children to enjoy. Some activities include a book swap for adults and children, Open Mic, Fun with Dr. Seuss, I love Mythology, Sports FANatics, Award Winning Books, Let’s Celebrate Eric Carle, Scary Stories, Bookmark making & Coloring, etc.

Come meet your local Mendon and Upton Public Librarians to learn about the Summer Reading Program. Local author and illustrator, Lauren Scheuer, will speak about the illustration process. She will also sell her two books, Once Upon a Flock: Life with My Soulful Chickens and A Smart Girl’s Guide to Understanding Her Family.
