Free Fun Fridays

2flowershslogoFree Fun Fridays are back.

Since 2009, Free Fun Fridays have enabled local residents to visit treasured cultural venues and recreational activities throughout the state at no cost.  The event series begins on Friday, June 24th and will continue through Friday, August 26th.  Worcester-area attractions include the Worcester Art Museum, EcoTarium, the Worcester Historical Museum and Old Sturbridge Village.

Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) was pleased to announce the return of ‘Free Fun Fridays’ during summer 2016.  The program is coordinated by the Highland Street Foundation and provides free entry to 80 museums and cultural events across the Commonwealth.

“This free event series is a great opportunity for friends and families across the state,” said Sen. Moore. “By providing free access to cultural landmarks in our state, this programming empowers parents and youth to make the most of their summer.  I encourage area residents to spread the word to family, friends, coworkers and neighbors who may be interested.”

Last year, there were 70 Free Fun Fridays. This year, there are 80. Check out the full schedule above and below. Where will you be headed summer?
