On Friday, September 30, 2016 Carlie and Bella Gonzalez, The Drove, Playing With Fire and Defret will take the stage to raise money for pediatric cancer research – specifically the Ty Louis Campbell(TLC) Foundation. Music will play from 7-9 pm at a true rock and roll style all age’s concert. The musicians are comprised of local teens ranging in age from 14-18. The concert will be held at Nipmuc High School, 90 Pleasant Street, Upton MA from 7-9pm on Friday, Sept. 30. The cost is $10 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased online at: https://form.jotform.com/62316333619151 or at the door. All proceeds to benefit pediatric cancer research.
The inspiration for the benefit concert comes from Ty Louis Campbell, affectionately known as SuperTy, because, like all children who battle cancer, he defined strength and courage even when faced with life’s most difficult challenges. SuperTy battled pediatric brain cancer for half of his short life with the strength only a true superhero could possess. His family and their team of dedicated volunteers vowed to keep his fight going until there are better treatment options for kids like Ty. This year, we are thrilled to have a local cancer fighting teen, Carlie Gonzalez and her sister Bella perform in honor of her fight with Ewing’s Sarcoma this past year. Carlie has been singing throughout her treatment, sharing her talent and giving a voice to children fighting cancer and we are so happy to have her be a part of this amazing night of music. #carliestrong
Through concert tickets, food and merchandise sales and the very generous growing list of sponsors including: Kids on the Common Pediatrics, Dunkin Donuts, Dr. Iadarola, Plains Auto, and Southwick Zoo to name a few, we will raise money that goes directly into research grants through the TLC Foundation and their amazing network of top oncologists and researchers in the field of pediatric oncology.
