The Town of Upton seeks qualified applicants for the position of Recreation Director. Responsible for development and administration of a variety of social, cultural and recreational opportunities, including planning and directing the operations of a comprehensive community recreation program under the direction of the Recreation Commission. Administers programs and activities for adults and children. Plans, directs and exercise general supervision of the Department to include management of staffing, equipment and records. Develops and monitors operating and capital budgets, maintains accounts and financial records. Evaluate recreation programs and services, establishes and implements plans that identify and address community interests and needs. Makes recommendations regarding policies and activities of the Department to the Commission. Position performs similar or related work as directed. Requires a BA Degree in recreation or a related field, with three to five years of municipal or related experience; or any equivalent combination.
