In a world where everything’s turned upside down, where danger lurks in a stranger’s breath, or on your own unwashed hands, a group of life long friends was determined to bring joy to Lily on her 13th Birthday.
Lily’s friends buckled into SUVs and Mini-Vans to wish her a drive-by happy birthday. In the video, you could hear car horns in a distance as they approached Lily’s home. They cheered and held signs for Lily.
Lily’s mom shared the video on her Facebook page and as of today, it’s had several hundred views.
As we learn to cope with social distancing we are adapting the way we celebrate. Communities are finding ways to come together even if it’s from a distance.
