The Board Health has announced the cost of the required Upton trash bags will increase by ten cents.
From now until March 31 the price will remain 5 bags for $7.
On April 1, 2013 the price will go up to 5 bags for $7.50 until the current supply lasts, which is expected to be about a month. After the supply is diminished the bags will be sold for 10 bags for $15.
Residents who do not wish to purchase the bags in bulk will still have the option to purchase single bags at the Board of Health for the new price of $1.50.
The cost of bulk items will remain the same.
