Jazz Night with special guest Greg Hopkins – Friday June 7

The Nipmuc Music Department presents Jazz Night on Friday June 7, directed by Michael Morel. This is sure to be a spectacular event, showcasing all of the jazz bands in the Mendon-Upton Music Department.

There will be a special performance by guest artist, Greg Hopkins, a well known trumpet player and composer. Hopkins has performed with Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson, Billy Maxted, Herb Pomeroy, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Joe Williams, Tony Bennett, the Supremes, Burt Bacharach, Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls, Mitzi Gaynor, Michel Legrand, Johnny Mathis, Shirley MacLaine, Marvin Hamlisch, and Lena Horne, as well as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and the Boston Brass Ensemble.
