Clough and Memorial PTOs to Host Harlem Wizards

harlemwizardsTwo local Parent Teacher Organizations are coming together to host the Harlem Wizards for a fun family event.  The Clough and Memorial Elementary School PTOs are planning an exciting afternoon, bringing together teachers, staff, community members and a few surprise players to face off against the Wizards on Sunday, October 20, 2013.  Tip-off for the MURSD All Stars is set for 2:00pm at Nipmuc High School.

Memorial PTO Co-Presidents, Julie DeZutter and Michele Arthur, along with Clough PTO President, Jen O’Donovan are collaborating on this family fun event.  A special pre-game show and an awesome half time show, along with contests, prizes, food and fun are just some of the highlights.

“At the Wizards game, fans see amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy. The athleticism, tricks, fancy teamwork and ball-handling wizardry, plus wild dunks not even seen in NBA games, engages and wows the most avid hoops fans. The comedy is for everybody. The Wizards look to push the envelope on fun, combining pre-planned comedic acts with spontaneous humor that fans of all ages will find laugh-out-loud funny,” according to the team’s website, www.HarlemWizards.com.

This is a family and community event you don’t want to miss.  Tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, September 23 at both Henry P. Clough School in Mendon and Memorial Elementary School in Upton.  Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.  On-line ticket orders can be placed on the Harlem Wizards website.  Extra fees will be applied.
