
Lots of activities this weekend around town. On Friday morning the Upton Board of Health will be hosting a Flu Clinic, get the shot not the flu.
Nipmuc Regional HS Juniors, Evan Offord, Tylor Costello, and Jack Gallagher are hosting Shoot for a Cure – raising funds for cancer; a girls basketball tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday Oct 18 and Sunday October 19 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will be held at Nipmuc, Clough, and Miscoe Hill. If you are around plan on popping in, watch some b-ball, and help these young men have a successful fundraiser. (THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL NOV 15/16)
Blackstone Valley Technical High School will be buzzing with activity this weekend as they are hosting their homecoming games and activities.
The Upton Board of Health is holding a hazardous waste day on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the DPW which is beside Nipmuc Regional High School.

Zoo Boo Days Begins – Is your child already excited for Halloween this year? Why not get a jump-start on the celebrations, starting on Saturday, October 19th at Southwick’s Zoo? During “Zoo Boo Days,” children under the age of 12 will get free admission to the zoo when they show up in their costume! Along with offering free admission, the zoo is hosting a bunch of Halloween-themed activities for Zoo Boo Days from October 19th to the 27th. There will be trick-or-treating throughout the zoo, which is a wonderful opportunity for those who cannot trick-or-treat in their own communities, or for anyone who loves candy!
