According to the Hopkinton Fire Department this morning at approximately 10:00 a.m. they received a call from the Golden Pond Nursing Home indicating there was an odor of smoke and visible smoke near the ceiling. Due to the size of the building Upton was called in for mutual aid. Upon arrival the Hopkinton Fire Department saw no smoke but did detect an odor of smoke. No residents were evacuated. Golden Pond Nursing home is located at 50 West Main Street Hopkinton.
