A policy is being developed by the Board of Selectmen regarding snow plowing services for private ways ahead of the winter of 2014/2015.  A copy of the draft letter, a list of the affected ways can be found here.

The Board of Selectmen is planning to discuss this draft policy at their next meeting which will be held on Tuesday, August 26th at 6:00 PM in the Professional Development Center (PDC) which is located at Nipmuc High School on the 2nd Floor. Before the Board votes to adopt such a policy, they encourage residents to attend the meeting to ask questions and provide their comments and concerns.

  1. I was unable to attend this very important meeting but would like to hear the outcome of the discussion. I live at Fieldstone Drive, which is a private way.

  2. If not for your article, I wouldn’t have known anything about this, and I live on Driscoll Lane (my building is listed as 140 Main St). According to the BoS page, A letter was supposed to have been sent out to residents of affected roads on August 7. I never saw that letter, none of the residents across the lane from me saw the letter, and the woman who owns the hose at 3 Driscoll Lane never saw it either.
