Members of the Grafton, Northbridge and Upton Board of Selectmen Endorse Muradian for State Representative

davidGRAFTON- While the campaign season is winding down, the endorsements keep coming in for David Muradian, who is hoping to succeed George Peterson as State Representative of the Ninth Worcester District, which consists of the towns of Grafton, Northbridge and Upton. David has seen individuals and organizations on both sides of the political spectrum voice their support.

“Throughout this campaign, I have prided myself on taking as many meetings with any individual or organization that has reached out to me that I possibly could. I am proud to say that I have several endorsements that show my commitment to the district, and how I will have no issue working across party lines to do what is best for the constituents of Grafton, Northbridge and Upton. These endorsements come from both typically republican, and typically democratic, organizations. It is certainly telling that all of these organizations are standing behind me to go to Beacon Hill and be a voice of reason, as well as to be the individual they trust.”

Muradian has received endorsements from key political figures around central Massachusetts. He is endorsed by Representative George Peterson, Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis, every Republican Representative in Worcester County, and Governor’s Councillor Jen Caissie. Additionally, he has received endorsements from The National Federation of Independent Business, Gun Owners’ Action League, and the New England Police Benevolent Association, to name a few.

Muradian has also been endorsed by Bruce Spinney, Selectman from Grafton, Dan Nolan, Selectman from Northbridge and Kenneth Piccard, Selectman from Upton.

“David has shown inspiring work ethic throughout his campaign,” stated Bruce Spinney. “I know that he will continue his hard work once elected State Representative. He understands our district. His experience will be instrumental in continuing to advocate for our community.”

“It is important that we have fulltime Representation on Beacon Hill,” stated Dan Nolan. “David Muradian is the only candidate in this race that will serve the people on a full time basis.”

“I believe David is an agent of change for our district,” stated Kenneth Piccard. “David believes that we should not continue the inefficiency in government, and that we should eliminate the wasteful spending. The bottom line is saving money so that state government can increase funding in key areas, such as education. David stands behind small businesses, as he fully believes they stimulate our economy. By removing impediments on small business, we will create a strong and vibrant state economy. I am excited to work with David.”

David is a member of the Grafton Republican Town Committee, Gun Owners’ Action League, and the Knights of Vartan, who proudly advocate for their Armenian heritage. He is also a Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriff, and he and his wife Jessica reside in Grafton.

Submitted by the Committee to Elect David Muradian, Jr.

  1. Green’s stance on casinos proves he is clueless when it comes to economic development, Green said, ” I have been to the casinos, but this is short-term job creation, not a long-term solution,” “This is not the long-term solution.”

I worked in the casinos when I lived in Illinois for over 4 years. In fact those same casinos have been in business since 1990ish. As a dealer I made 40K I was 26. Janitors made $17 dollars an hour sweeping the floor this was back in 1994. In fact over the years the casinos paid MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to the state in revenue. I think our state could use a boost like that to the economy. All green wants to do is raise taxes and fees to generate revenue, but then again that’s what democrats do,

Say what you will about casinos they generate revenue much needed revenue our state needs, Not to mention other local business thrive because of the increase in visitors to the town where the casino is.

The moral of the story is casinos create jobs, generate millions of dollars of revenue to the state and help build up the local economy.

I also have wonder since Green admitted to playing poker and going to the casinos if he reported his winnings to the state or kept them under the table.
