Fundraising Event For All Ages On March 5 – Music, Food, Raffles – All For A Great Cause

Submitted by Michael Krager

Team One4theRoad is comprised of cyclists from both Mendon and Uxbridge. Together, we ride our bikes in local charity events that raise money toward the research of diseases that plague many of our friends and families today. On Saturday March 5th, the team will be holding it’s annual fundraiser event at Central Tavern in Milford, from 1pm to 6pm. The all-ages event will include live music, meat raffle, and prize raffle. You have the chance to win gift certificates from local establishments like Alicante’s, Depot St. Tavern, and LaRose Muscular Therapy. You could win Bose® SoundSport® in-ear headphones, Providence Bruins tickets, Red Sox tickets, or a HUGE gift basket from Lenny’s Liquors! More prizes are added all the time! This year’s event is now featuring BIKE BLENDER courtesy of Landry’s Cycles. What better way to enjoy a frozen adult beverage than paying somebody to make it via bicycle?

All proceeds will be going toward the team rides in the Pan Mass Challenge supporting cancer research through Dana Farber; Bike MS supporting multiple sclerosis research; CF Cycle for Life supporting cystic fibrosis research; and the Memory Ride supporting Alzheimer’s research.

The team is out there simply riding their bikes anywhere from 30miles up to 192miles in these charity rides. Our success is dependent on the generosity of people like you though. To be successful, we need to raise the money that goes toward identifying ways of curing patients and making their lives easier or longer. Over the past three years, the team has raised $80,000 for these causes, and unfortunately, that’s nowhere near enough. We hope that you can attend, enjoy some good music, win some great prizes, and help further the cause to help those people in need.

Thank you and see you on the 5th!!
