The Upton Conservation Commission will be installing turtle crossing signs on Fowler Street near the golf course. The Commission will provide the signs which will alert drivers that spotted, wood and painted turtles cross the road at this location. According to the Commission, the curvature of the road makes it difficult for drivers to react when needed.

This is a great idea! Now if the town would update (paint, install signs, etc.) at all pedestrian crossing in the town of Upton, we can all be a bit more safe when trying to cross our streets! The crossing at route 140 and Brook Street is particularly treacherous.
