Scott G. Satow, 57

Scott Satow photoScott G. Satow, 57, of Upton, died tragically in a fire in his apartment on Thursday, April 14, 2016.

Scott was born in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Alice L. (Gorgionne) and John J. Satow II, and had lived in Upton for over 20 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had been a self-employed sheet rock installer.

A talented musician, Scott was a frequent performer at open mic events at the Rose Garden Restaurant & Pub.

He leaves one son, Jacob M. “Jake” Satow of Framingham; a brother, John “Jay” Satow III, and a sister, Susan T. Satow, both of Ohio; and many dear friends, including Jennifer Dwinnell, Brian Lozeau, Nicole DeWolfe, and Jill Dwyer of Upton, Molly Guadagnoli Douglas of Hopedale, Maggy Lynch of Framingham, and Dan Leary of Hopkinton; as well as too many other “good humans” to mention. He was also the brother of the late Connie Satow.

At his request, following cremation, a celebration of Scotty’s life will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden Restaurant & Pub, 16 Milford St., Upton. Please bring smiles, hugs, Scotty stories, drums, guitars, etc. Come prepared for a “positive uplifting” celebration of our dear friend.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the John Lindi “Go Fund Me” account at https://www.gofundme.com/xhz7gj6s or to the Upton Bloomer Girls, Box 121, Upton, MA 01568.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home of Upton (www.uptonfunerals.com).
