Mr. Beshir plans on running a strong campaign advocating issues concerning voters in the 2nd Worcester District. Mr. Beshir plans on addressing the importance of ending the Common Core Standards. Mr. Beshir has stated, “The Common Core Standards has burdened educators and fundamentally ruined the true values of the educational process in our public school system throughout not only the commonwealth but also the nation.” Mr. Beshir has also echoed Governor Charlie Baker’s support of lifting the cap on charter schools, “We must lift the cap on charter schools so we can empower parents with the choice of sending their child to either a public school or a charter school.” Most importantly, Mr. Beshir believes that public safety is a major concern among residents of the 2nd Worcester District. Mr. Beshir has stated that if elected to the State Senate he’ll work with law enforcement throughout the district to strengthen neighborhood watch programs to prevent crime in our district’s neighborhoods.
