State Senate Recesses in Memory of Officer Tarentino

At the motion of Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury), the Massachusetts State Senate recessed budget debates on Tuesday in memory of Auburn Police Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. who was killed in the line of duty early Sunday morning.

“It brings me great sadness to stand before this Chamber to recess in memory of Officer Tarentino,” said Sen. Moore.  “This senseless act of violence has taken the life of a loving husband, dedicated father of three children, and a brother of the law enforcement community.

Members of the Senate gathered to offer a moment of silence in memory of Officer Tarentino, and to offer their thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and colleagues.

Sen. Moore went on to say, “Officer Tarentino’s spirit, and call to duty, will never be forgotten by the residents of the Town of Auburn, his hometown of Leicester, the Commonwealth and certainly not by members of this Chamber.”
