Clough third grade Spanish Immersion teacher Esther Williniski was awarded the Mendon Upton Regional School District Golden Apple Award this evening for her creativity, determination, and making a difference in the lives of her students.
The Golden Apple Award is a way for the district to acknowledge publically an outstanding staff member who goes above and beyond expectations to make a huge difference in the lives of students and parents.
“Many staff members were nominated and it was moving for the committee to read all of the narratives parents had written,”said School Committee Chair Diane Duncan. “I would love to be able to award every single person,” she said. “But of course, the Golden Apple seeks to award one person.”
Duncan took a moment during the presentation to read several narratives submitted by parents who spoke of Williniski’s kindness and creativity.
