Local Students Earn Accolades

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 4,986 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2016 Dean’s List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, other states and 25 countries.

The Nichols College Dean’s List recognizes students who have achieved high grades during a single semester. In order to be included in the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester.

A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean’s High Honors.

The College of Saint Rose

The College of Saint Rose congratulates Amarie King of Mendon, Massachusetts, for being named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2016 semester.

King is one of 721 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence. To make the Dean’s List, King had to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail.

Emmanuel College 

Susanne Duquette of Upton was named to the Emmanuel College Dean’s List for the Spring 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Mount Ida College

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean’s List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of “Incomplete”, “D” or “F”; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
