Upton VFW Post Assists MEMA with PPE

When duty calls…

Upton VFW Post 5594 is assisting the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) in a large VFW Department mission to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The post is one of the twenty-nine posts acting as a drop off site for personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the Commonwealth.

Please note they are NOT actively soliciting donations. They are a drop off site only. Donors will complete a donation form available online, MEMA gives the donor the name and contact info for the nearest VFW post participating. The donor then calls and arranges the drop-off. The Upton VFW Post will track donations and coordinate with the National Guard for pickup.

Please do not be alarmed should you see a Guard convoy driving through town.

If a group or person wants to donate PPE supplies, please go to https://www.mass.gov/covid-19-ppe-procurement-and-donation-…
