“Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. And you’ll always be accepted, respected and welcomed at Target” – Target Corp.
Target Corp. made it clear Tuesday that transgender people who visit their stores are welcome to use the bathrooms and dressing rooms which aligns with their gender identity.
“We believe that everyone—every team member, every guest, and every community—deserves to be protected from discrimination, and treated equally,” Target wrote in a press release.
Target announced their support for the federal Equality Act, which provides protections to LGBT individuals, and opposes action that enables discrimination.
Target said, “We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.”

Forget about little girls maybe encountering “pretend” transgendered users of the ladies’ room. I wonder how open minded people are going to be when “people with penises” start leaving the toilet seats up in the ladies’ room stalls… and also leaving “drippage” on the front of the porcelain that now must be carefully avoided. Me? I think it’s utterly ridiculous that 3/10 of 1% of the population is going to affect how 50% of the population uses public rest rooms.
