Dance Works Academy is holding a Dairy Queen Community Fundraiser Thursday, October 8, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The DQ Grill and Chill of Milford will donate 10%  of all sales to the Dance Works Academy Competition Dance Teams. Opinion: Mendon raises age to buy tobacco – when will Upton?

Mendon has joined a growing list of Massachusetts cities and towns to raise the minimum age to buy tobacco and nicotine products from 18 to 21. Dr. Leicester Hartman presented to the Mendon Board of Heath that nearly ninety percent of  smokers start smoking by the age 20 and ninety percent of people who purchase tobacco for distribution to minors are between the ages of 18 and 20. Mendon Town Beach OPENS – safe to swim

On June 24  2015 Mendon announced the Town Beach was closed due to a failed water quality test for E-Coli. Around noon today (6/25) the Town received the results of the most recent water test and were able to reopen the beach. According to Dan Byers who is one of the Mendon Park Commissioners, levels are back around 70MPN; safe limit is 235. Mendon Town Beach Closed due to E-Coli

On June 24  2015 Mendon announced the Town Beach is closed until further notice.  The water tested positive for E-Coli and the beach will remain closed until the water tests clean.
